What chemicals do biochemists, pharmacists, etc work with?
What kind of chemicals do professions in the chemistry field work with?

- Biochemists work with whatever chemicals they need to do their research. This usually spans the range of all chemicals from radioactive substances to synthetic polymers to small organic molecules. It just depends on the type of research. Pharmacists on the other hand just count pills and advise people on how medications work (unless they work in a research setting, but 99% of parmacists don't). These fields are essentially worlds apart even though most of them take all the same classes as undergraduates.
