Training for medical doctors?
After the medical institutions lose their case against training for medical doctors in UK. I personally think it’s wrong for British Taxes to be spent on foreign medical students in the UK. I think medical students should qualify in their countries and pass their exams, and became doctors before they apply for Jobs in the UK. I think British medical students should have priority in the courses and jobs in the UK. That way we will have more British doctors, and competition should only apply in medical jobs and not in training. What are your views on training for medical students? Should we allow foreign medical students for training in the UK?

- it has to do with global awareness and support. Like doctor do not just treat people in the UK or USA some volunteer as Drs without borders or as part of other similar not for profict groups helping where there is no medical care Dr. Albert Schweitzer was my hero working in terrible conditions in Africa - it's better to have africans become doctors than us sending doctor over there. it's a humanitarian thing to do - many countries cannot produce enough Drs as it is and their populations are axploding. you have foreign students in every field, the hope is to have these student leave the host country and promote the host country and peace among nations
- it is a universal system to train people from other countries to different courses, britain is not an exception
- I think we need to first ask why we need to attract foreign Drs in the first place, is it because when our UK Drs become fulley trained specialists, they leave the nhs in favour of private care, or go abroad, taking their high earnings with them? Foreign Drs will be free to leave too at some point, but are they more likely to stay because of the opportunities given to them will be more appreciated? Do they work for less?, is that a bad thing when the NHS is in such turmoil at the moment?, at least if they are trained here, they are trained to our standards.
- Yes I think we should. The training here is better than some countries and we all live in the world.
- I see no reason why foreign doctors should not be trained in the UK but believe that british born doctors should receive a preference for job allocations. The law is often an ass.
