Do Scientologists accept that medical doctors can also rid a person of engrams without the need for auditing?

A question was posted by someone who asked could Scientology cure their disabilities? A scientologist replied no, but a cure was often a bi product - meaning yes! He also said that psychosomatic conditions often fall away as result of Scientology IE that it cured them(they believe that engrams are the cause of such things which they rid people of through auditing). A medical doctor also believes in psychosamic conditions and they prescribe placebos(sugar pills - none chemicals) as a treatment and such conditions often fall away,ie they cure it. So both sides agree on such things exsist but just think what causes are different. So if doctors can cure such patients will sugar pills then that means that doctors must rid people of engrams that scientology claims cause such ills irrevent of wether the doctor believes in the engrams in the fist place? would scientologist agree with this fact? And if so, does that not make auditing just an expensive sugar pill?

1. Scientologists only believe in what they've been told L. Ron said or what they've read that they're told he wrote. They believe that the only way to remove "engrams" is through "auditing". And they parrot anything they've been told to say.
